Great advice for running in the rain! I may be doing exactly that tomorrow!
Rainy Runs Can Rock.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times: Nothing makes me feel more badass than running in the rain. You, too, can revel in the badassery if you follow a few helpful hints.
Check the forecast. Running in the rain is awesome; running in a dangerous thunderstorm is not so awesome.
Be seen. Wear bright colors or reflective gear and, if it’s dark enough, your LED light.
Use extra caution. Wet roads can be slippery, so watch your step. And if it’s slippery for your Nikes, that also means it’s slippery for vehicles. Avoid darting in front of cars and bikes that might not be able to stop in time, and always slow down at intersections (and alleys).
Wear head gear. Throw on a hat or visor to keep the rain off your face. I’m a fan of this one from Athleta.
